Private Coaching for Adults 40+
Private coaching for adults over 40 - lunchtime sessions in Hasbrouck Heights.
One coach, your plan, in and out on your lunch break. Strength, mobility, nutrition habits, accountability, and optional kickboxing in a private studio near Route 17 and Route 46.
Built for busy professionals around 40-60 who already know they should train and need someone to run the plan.
Who this is for
- You are in your 40s, 50s, 60s, or close enough to know recovery is different now.
- You want strength, mobility, and accountability without a crowded gym.
- You need daytime appointments, lunchtime training, and a plan that respects your calendar.
- You want one private coach who knows your history instead of a new trainer every month.
Who this is not for
- You want a group class or kids martial arts program.
- You want a random workout instead of a plan.
- You need medical care, physical therapy, or hormonal advice instead of coaching.
A Typical Session
Can you train on your lunch break and get back to work? Yes.
12:00
Walk in. Your session is already planned.
12:05
Warm up and movement prep, specific to you.
12:15
Coached training. Strength, movement, conditioning, or kickboxing, depending on the plan.
12:45
Done. Back to your day, with a note on what is next.
Daytime appointments make the schedule realistic. You do not waste the hour fighting traffic to a crowded gym, waiting for equipment, or deciding what to do next.
After 40
The old approach stops working.
Somewhere after 40, recovery is slower, the joints have opinions, and the old plan of working harder for a few weeks does not hold. Desk work stiffens the hips and shoulders. The internet gives you a hundred opinions about protein, mobility, cardio, strength training, and what you should or should not be eating.
You do not need more information. You need one person who knows you, builds the plan, watches your form, and holds you to it. That is the point of private coaching.
For the short version of what matters most, read the Sidekick Strong guide: Five things that matter after 40.
This is not personal training at a gym.
The difference is not the equipment. It is the attention.

Questions
Before you book.
Can I actually train on my lunch break and get back to work?+
Yes. Consultations are 15 minutes, and coaching sessions are 45 minutes. A typical lunch-hour session is planned before you walk in, so you train instead of figuring out what to do.
Is this for people my age, or for athletes?+
This is private coaching for adults after 40, including people in their 50s and 60s. The goal is to stay strong, mobile, and capable for decades, not to train like you are 25.
How is this different from a personal trainer at a gym?+
You get one coach, one private room, and a plan built before you arrive. Progress is reviewed with you, and the coaching includes strength, mobility, nutrition habits, and accountability.
What happens in a typical 45-minute session?+
You warm up, do movement prep, then train strength, mobility, conditioning, or kickboxing based on your plan. You leave with a note on what comes next.
Do I need martial arts experience?+
No. Kickboxing and self-defense are optional. Plenty of clients never touch a bag, and the plan still works.
Where is the studio and is parking easy?+
The private studio is at 155 NJ-17 in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, minutes from Route 17 and Route 46, with easy parking.
What does it cost to start?+
The consultation is free. Monthly coaching plans are 1x weekly at $400, 2x weekly at $700, and 3x weekly at $1,000. Plans are month to month.
What if I have an old injury?+
Joe builds around what your body can do today. If something needs medical care, physical therapy, or another professional, he will tell you.
You know what you should be doing.
You just need someone to run it.
